Ms. Mills has been interested in the physical and emotional benefits of relaxation and meditation for more than twenty years. She has been actively teaching yoga and Pilates in various venues for five years. Ms. Mills has been teaching vinyasa flow yoga classes at the Wellness Center at Longwood Rehabilitation since it opened its doors in May, 2006. Vinyasa means to put together for a purpose, and vinyasa flow yoga classes pair breath and physical poses (asanas) for various purposes depending on the objectives and needs of students. The goal of these classes is to have fun while stretching, strengthening and balancing the body while calming the mind and learning beneficial breathing techniques and relaxation strategies in a non-competitive environment. Yoga is a journey, not a destination and participants ALWAYS honor their bodies by selecting from the options offered the best option for them for that moment in that particular class.
